The Venue

The KBS Symposium is hosted by the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, one of Europe's largest and most renowned university hospitals. Charité is internationally recognized for its excellence in research, teaching, and patient care, bringing together scientists and clinicians from around the world to advance biomedical and health research. With a long tradition of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration, Charité provides an outstanding environment for scientific exchange.

The main KBS Symposium (31 May to 4 June 2027) will be held at the Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus, a historic conference venue located right next to the Charité campus in the heart of Berlin.

The Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus was built between 1913 and 1915 as a meeting and conference venue for the German medical community. Named after the renowned surgeons Bernhard von Langenbeck and Rudolf Virchow, the building has played an important role in Berlin’s medical history. After extensive restoration, it continues to serve as a prestigious venue for medical congresses, conferences, and scientific events.

Located in the centre of Berlin, the Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus is easily accessible by public transport and within walking distance of Berlin Central Station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof). Germany's largest railway station, which is approximately a 10-minute walk away and offers connections to regional, national, and international trains, as well as the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, buses, and trams
